Executive Vice President and Chief Quality Officer
In keeping with Sudler’s commitment to delivering consistently exceptional service to clients, Dean Andrews oversees quality-delivery across the entire firm.
Throughout his career, Dean set and monitored standards across varied roles in both the private and public sectors. Early on, he developed sales and marketing programs for IBM. Later, he started a business providing services to luxury hotels in Chicago. Most recently, Dean served as the Chicago Police Department’s Chief of Detectives. As one of Chicago’s Finest, he held senior leadership positions supervising the daily operations of several thousand personnel, and managing multi-million dollar budgets. His accomplishments included establishing the City of Chicago’s counter-terrorism program after the 9/11 attacks, developing performance-accountability systems for both operational and administrative functions, creating risk-mitigation protocols, and investigative training.
Dean also served as Board President of his high-rise condominium association. In this role, he gained hands-on property-management experience from a client perspective, developing long-term strategic plans to update building design, mechanical systems, and public areas.
In just three years’ time, Dean earned both a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA) and a second Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He has also completed the coursework for a Master’s Degree in Public Policy (MPA) from Northwestern University achieving a perfect grade-point average.
Dean believes understanding how people live, and experiencing different cultures are key to a life well lived. To this end, he has traveled extensively throughout Europe and North America. His latest interest is adventure travel in South America.
