Robert Graf, CPM, CMCA
Executive Vice President
Bob has been a key part of Sudler Property Management for more than 35 years. Originally hired as property manager for a Gold Coast condo association, over the years his portfolio grew to include properties ranging in size from 29 to 640 units. His depth of experience and industry knowledge have been key to guiding clients through a wide range of capital-improvement projects. From window replacements, to mechanical and plumbing retro-fits, to epoxy pipe-lining, to balcony and roof projects, Bob has seen, and helped associations successfully manage, it all.
Bob is actively engaged in a wide variety of industry associations including the Apartment Building Owners and Managers Association (ABOMA), Community Association Institute (CAI), and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). This involvement helps him keep his “ear to the ground” for industry best practices. Association boards benefit with strategic insights to improve management, and drive cost savings. For the past 25 years, Bob has also served on—and now co-chairs—the union contract-negotiating committee for both the doorman and janitor unions. He is also a Trustee on the SEIU Local #1 Health, Welfare & Pension Fund (for residential janitors and door staff).
In 2010, Governor Quinn appointed Bob to the Community Association Manager Licensing and Disciplinary Board, and he is now its longest-serving member. His certifications and professional licenses include a State of Illinois Community Association Manager (CAM) license, Certified Property Manager (CPM), and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA). Bob received his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University.
Somehow, with all his responsibilities and professional commitments, Bob still finds time to unwind and shave a stroke or two off an already pretty strong golf game.
