I’ve often been asked to name Sudler’s most significant asset, and I’m quick To answer: Our Sudler family. All of what we do, all the services we provide our clients, all of what makes Sudler what it is comes into being by way of countless interactions between our associates and our clients. The excellence of our service-delivery is our economic reason for being. It’s what makes us valuable.
In the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sudler took action. On March 16, 2020, clients were advised “… our management team met for five hours today and finalized a detailed list of recommendations for condominium associations’ Boards of Directors to consider for immediate implementation.” Since then, Sudler Chief Operating Officer, Dean Andrews, has led our team’s response to the fluid situation. As Dean puts it, “Day-in and day-out, Sudler people have gone above and beyond to safeguard our employees, the residents in our managed properties, and the public transitioned to zoom. Even kids’ birthdays were celebrated over zoom calls.
President’s memo: Facing a pandemic, Sudler people deliver
Covid-19 changed almost everything… overnight. Surprised but undaunted, Sudler people found new ways to do what they’ve always done: They put the safety and security of our clients first, and got to work. “Sudler people deliver” was never more in evidence.
On July 10th, in a company-wide luncheon meeting at the East Bank Club, I announced Sudler’s new strategic partnership with the largest propertymanagement firm in the United States, Associa.
The three words in this headline are loaded with meaning, all of it directly connected to our founder, Louis Sudler. He built this firm on the promise of delivering first-rate service to his clients. Put another way, starting back in1927, Louis Sudler always “delivered” for his clients. Keeping faith with that ethic, day in and day out, is what energizes us still.
Sharp-eyed readers will have noticed the word “legendary” in our masthead. We admit it’s a bit of a boast, but we’re also convinced it’s an accurate descriptor for Sudler Property Management. No other company in this business has anything close to our storied 90-year history. It all played out right here in Chicago and originated with a true giant. Louis Sudler pioneered property management as the center of his company beginning back in 1927.
