On October 31st, Sudler learned that it was the target of a sophisticated cyberattack that impacted our systems and resulted in the unauthorized access of certain data.
We immediately engaged some of the country’s top cybersecurity and forensic experts to help our team investigate the source and extent of the attack. We quickly identified and contained the threat while securing our network against a similar attack. Law enforcement was also notified.
Fortunately, Sudler uses a secure cloud-based backup system that allowed our team to recover its data and quickly become operational again.
Our primary focus at this time is completing the forensic investigation to better understand precisely what data was impacted. That process can take weeks to complete. In the meantime, we have sent a preliminary communication to individuals whose information we suspect may have been acquired. After our investigation and review of the impacted files is complete, we will notify individuals whose information was impacted, as required by law.
